Every Robot Master has a specific weakness. Experiment with different weapons to find what works best. Remember: Cut Man is weak to Thunder Bolt, Elec Man to Fire Storm, etc.
Special weapons have limited ammo. Use your Mega Buster for regular enemies and save special weapons for tougher foes or specific weaknesses. E-Tanks refill both health and weapon energy.
Starting in MegaMan 3, the slide lets you dodge attacks and fit through tight spaces. It's essential for avoiding certain boss patterns and accessing hidden areas in later games.
Many stages contain hidden rooms with extra lives, E-Tanks, or powerful weapons. Shoot walls that look suspicious and don't rush through stages - take time to explore every corner.
Each boss has predictable attack patterns. Watch their movements carefully and learn when to jump, shoot, or dodge. Patience and observation are key to victory.
In the original games, pausing doesn't stop boss animations. However, you can still change weapons during pause to prepare for the next phase of a battle. Use this to your advantage.
